Title I is a federally funded program designed to improve schools. It is part of No Child Left Behind, and offers in-school assistance to students in need of extra support in reading or math. Students are selected and served in small groups. At Hilburn, students in kindergarten through fifth grade are served daily in reading and/or math. All teachers at Hilburn have agreed on common pull-out times so that instruction time both in the classroom and Title I can be maximized.
